Review of Bianchi Specialissima

Today I took the Bianchi Specialissima out on the Cycle Right Shop ride (https://www.strava.com/activities/1253782708). It was quite good to take a bike out which hits the same market to the Look 785 HUEZ RS. This has given me the opportunity to really weigh one bike up against another.

On the ride the Bianchi was super stiff and very responsive, similar to the Look . The Look 785 is the stiffest bike I have ever ridden. The roads we took were a mixture of smooth roads and rougher roads, which hadn't been looked after quite so well. The Bianchi with it's countervail technology allowed the bike to absorb the vibrations better than the Look, and almost as well as the Simplon Pavo, a massive credit to a bike designed to be light.

The bike was built with the new Dura Ace 9100. It worked flawlessly. The Bianchi had built up the demo bike with a good set of light clincher wheels, but being new to this all, I forgot to make note of them.

I gave the bike a couple of pushes along the ride, and didn't treat it nicely over the pot holes. I really wanted to put the countervail technology to the test. It performed well and at the end of the ride I was not sore or uncomfortable in anyway. I had thought this would have become a bigger factor the longer the ride, but no.

A truly, amazing bike. hitting the market it aims at. The frame is very stiff, comfortable and light. However the frame is slightly heavier than the Look 785 HUEZ RS.
